Hyper for iOS is an avatar social network. You can build an avatar and use face-tracking and hand-tracking to live-stream, record clips, and make new friends. We also support using your app with the usual computer-based streaming tools like Streamlabs OBS, Zoom, Discord, and more. We're currently in beta! Read the article below to learn how.
If you're a Hyper for iOS user with a computer, you might want to use your avatar with your desktop tools, like Zoom, Discord, or Twitch using your regular streaming setup. This guide will teach you how to use the Hyper for iOS app with tools like Streamlabs or OBS.
If you aren't familiar with Streamlabs or OBS– it's software used by streamers to send video data to live-streaming services like Twitch. It also has utilities that will allow you to use it with apps like Zoom and Discord.
This guide will be for Streamlabs, but the general rules should be the same for any sort of streaming software. We'll also focus on using it with Zoom, because setting up Streamlabs for a stream is a more complicated proposition that many guides already exist for.
Note: Streamlabs OBS is not officially affiliated with OBS in any way. OBS is an open-source set of free video streaming tools that Streamlabs used and built a company on-top-of.
Using Hyper with a macOS and Windows have slightly different requirements.
If you're using macOS, your computer will natively see any attached iPhone as a video input, so you won't need any extra accessories other than a cable to attach your iPhone to your Mac.
